Wonderful Wetlands Outreach

The Wetland Programme

Wonderful Wetlands brings the diverity of the Wetland habitat into the school classroom. Students will be encouraged to create a sense of responsibility and appreciation for their local Wetland area.

Topics include

- The water cycle
- Plants in a watery world and how they have adapted
- Water invertebrates
- Birds and migration - winter and summer
- Food chains and life cycles of the wetlands
- The importance of Wetlands in our every day life

Audience level
The Wonderful Wetlands Outreach programme is suitable for all classes

Session Length
All outreach programmes contain an interactive powerpoint presentation and a variety of practical learning activities. The length of each session can be tailor made to suit the classes own timetable.
